Testimony Time 🙌
A few weeks ago, my beloved puppy Skarlett went missing from my backyard. I was heartbroken and spent over two hours searching for her to no avail. Desperate for help, I turned to NextDoor, PawBoost, and other social media apps for assistance. My prayers were answered when a kind woman reached out to me. She had found Skarlett and stayed by her side, even though she was injured.
However, the woman informed me that another woman and her daughter had taken Skarlett, but she didn't have their contact information as everything happened so quickly.
Despite not knowing who had taken her, I immediately started calling local animal hospitals, but none had seen her. Finally, another message came in from the daughter of a woman who told me her daughter-in-law was a veterinarian technician and had taken Skarlett to her clinic (talk about divine appointment and perfect timing) and also provided the number of the clinic for me to call.
As soon as we hung up, I called the hospital and was informed that Skarlett needed surgery due to a broken tibia.
I applied for CareCredit, but was denied, so I created a GoFundMe account to raise money for the surgery. A friend then told me about a non-profit organization that helps fund pet surgeries. I reached out to them, and they graciously agreed to help.
Skarlett wore a splint for two weeks and finally underwent surgery and stayed overnight to be monitored.
I spoke with Karen (BarkleyWorld) before going into the clinic and expressed my gratitude for her unwavering support and encouraging words. Once I went inside, I asked the nurse if Mrs. Karen would be able to contribute towards the expenses of Skarlett's surgery. She said, yes and I handed her the phone. When I received the phone back, Mrs. Karen simply said, "Okay, you're good to go." Believing that I still had to cover some costs, I asked the nurse how much was left for me to pay. To my surprise, the nurse informed me that Mrs. Karen had paid for the ENTIRE BILL.
Overwhelmed with emotions, I couldn't hold back my tears. I was deeply thankful and I felt as if my hope was restored by this selfless act of kindness from Mrs. Karen.
With gratitude, I thanked Mrs. Karen for her support and informed her that every donation I received would be delivered to BarkleyWorld to help the next pet in need.
Skarlett is now recovering at home and receiving medication while on a 12 week strict confinement until she is better. I will keep everyone updated on her progress.
I am deeply grateful for the kindness and generosity shown by Mrs. Karen (BarkleyWorld) and all those who have supported Skarlett and myself through this difficult time. Once again, thank you & may God bless you. 🙏
