Worry has been my greatest tug of war battle in life. Whether my mind be focused on something as small as a negative thought that gives an anxiety feeling or something as big as not knowing what step to take when making tough decisions.

When I was a young girl, I remember a time when I woke up from a bad dream and was full of fear. My hands were sweaty, my body was trembling and I felt as if I were in a cave of darkness.

I remember getting out of bed, walking to the hallway of my home and seeing something that looked like a flashlight... it was the light coming from underneath the door of my aunt's room.

Immediately, I knocked on her door. She opened the door and noticed the expression on my face. Immediately, she said, "Come in, lay on my bed. I'll read you a story." She opened a book and began reading. Within a few minutes, I was peacefully sound asleep.

As I grew older, I acknowledged what that book was and the power it obtained.

It was the Bible. I began to know how precious, yet mighty this book was. It was the words that were spoken by the Almighty. The words that bring forth truth, peace, fruit and all things that are possible.

I realized this book has the power to open the eyes of the blind, deliver sound to deaf ears, heal the sick and provide a way in the midst of the unknown.

I know that this book was more than ink and paper.... it was and is the way of life.

Countless memories I can dwell and testify when this book saved my life and the lives of others. It has healed the sick, restored mental illnesses, rejuvenated marriages, relationships, careers and much more.

If I become half of the woman my aunt is in faith, I know I will be satisfied and at awe of the fruit God provides. All it took was one book and one devoted heart to inspire my life forever.

Still, I strive to know more of the Father's goodness because honeslty, I can never get enough of this book... all because of the One who's the star of the story Who's name is mighty enough to save; Jesus.

Till my last breath, I will praise Him through the highs and lows in each chapter of my story. Why? Because He is the same today, tomorrow and forever. He has performed miracles, signs and wonders and is still performing till this day.

Please, do not dwell on the darkest of nights, His mercy is new every morning and He is faithful.

Believe, declare, proclaim and trust His word. He is able and higher than any mountain you will face. He provides what the world cannot. 🕊
