Have you ever woken up from a bad dream? I'm sure we can all say 'yes' to this one. Since we were kids we have had our share of nightmares. We laugh at some of them now that we are older while telling others how our imagination was back then. But yet, as we age, we still have them from time to time...

Well, last night I woke up from a bad dream and wow was my heart racing wild. Quickly, I looked around my room but stopped myself and thought "what am I doing? What am I looking for?". Immediately, I closed my eyes and prayed over my family, friends and self.

Because I know the name that is more powerful than any other name.

A name that will provide peace.

A name that will make darkness tremble.

A name that will deliver and save once spoken.

A name that will never leave nor forsake one in need.

A name that held the weight of the world and overcame it all.

A name that fights my battles and is victorious every time.

A name that forgives and never holds grudges or records of wrongs.

A name that is compassionate and loving beyond measure.

That name is Jesus...

I spoke that name and began to dwell on Psalm 23and Psalm 4:8.

Within a few moments after praying and reading the the living Word, I began to feel at peace. My heart stopped racing and I began to feel calm again.

This is why I believe and this is why I chose to be a follower of Jesus. When everything else failed me in life, this is what gave me comfort and made me feel alive again when I felt overwhelmed with suppression, depression and carried baggage that was way to heavy of a load to carry alone.

I am thankful for what the Lord has done in my life and where He has led me today.

I want to encourage you... if you do not know Him, message me... I would love to share His story with you. I promise you will not regret it.

And if you are already a believer, but have been away for awhile... I encourage you to open your Bible, speak and pray to the Father. Because He has not forgotten about you... He is waiting for you to let Him in.

He is the Prince of Peace and the One who can provide, supply and perform miracles, signs and wonders in your life.

I am greatly thankful for the name Jesus and the relationship I nurture with Him.

Jesus, your name that showered me with indescribable peace that surpasses all understanding. It is You who gives me rest when I feel weary... thank you.
