Five years ago, I was hit with the gut-wrenching news that I had Hashimoto's disease. This autoimmune condition took aim at my thyroid gland, causing it to suffer under the attack of my own immune system. The consequences were a barrage of symptoms - joint pain, chronic/muscle fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, and depression - that left me feeling helpless and at the mercy of my condition.

Upon receiving the diagnosis, I felt disoriented and overwhelmed, struggling to come to terms with the realities of the disease and the impact it would have on my life. But through it all, I remained determined to fight and to do everything in my power to overcome the obstacles that lay ahead; step by step and day by day.

But, in those darkest moments, the love and support of my family, friends, masters, and faith shone through like a beacon of hope. Their encouragement kept my mind clutter-free and motivated me to persevere. I am forever grateful.

Through attending chiropractic/therapy sessions, I have discovered how to appreciate even the tiniest instances of strength, avoid taking any accomplishments for granted, and treasure the beauty of being present in the moment.

Though I know there is much more to learn on this journey, I am proud of the progress I have made and the person I have grown to be.

Adversity has a way of revealing one's character, and I am humbled and grateful to have been surrounded by those who have genuinely cared and supported me through it all. Their unwavering love and support have been a constant reminder that anything is possible with dedication and perseverance.

To anyone reading this, I urge you to pursue your passions and never let anyone or anything stand in your way. Believe in yourself, take risks, and put in the effort required to achieve your dreams. You never know what you can accomplish until you try.

Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
