Shed a light on Human Trafficking

Human Trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world. It has been a fight that I have been in for decades and will never cease to roar. I am thankful for the A21 Campaign, End It Movement and The Penny Story for spreading awareness about this issue and never giving up on those who are enslaved.

I began advocating once I understood the importance of sharing personal struggles and no longer being captive. Many think this cause and effect is only by kidnappers. Unfortunately, it is also targeted by teachers, family, spouses, workplaces, etc. It happens everywhere, and most likeley in the most unexpected environments. I am sharing this because I know how it feels like to be silenced and hidden. I know how it feels to bite your tongue because you are afraid of judgement or the questions that will bring back memories that you tried to bury. But then... I also know what it feels like to speak up and shed a light. Not only for awareness, but to recieve peace and undress the selfdoubt and shame I was once robed in.

If you are currently going through this, know someone who is going through this, or want to spread awareness so that others may know about this industry, please do not be afraid. Do not allow a temporary feeling of fear be a stumbling block to a permanent life in freedom. Supression is toxic and a silent killer to the mind, body and spirit.

We must be a voice for the voiceless and for ourselves. We must take action and pray for a freedom breakthrough in Jesus name. I pray the Lord will soon reveal worth, a love that is unconditional, a joy unexplainable and a peace that surpasses every thought or action that took place to every hurting individual.

You are loved and accepted just the way you are. Not condemned, not criticized, not reprehended. But loved. Known. Victorious. Worthy.
