In 2018, my life was miraculously saved by God. Despite being told by doctors that my body would never be the same after my recovery outside the ICU, God had a different plan. I never imagined that I would become a martial artist, let alone compete in tournaments. This journey hasn't been easy. Every single day is a battle, one that I refuse to surrender to. Despite nerve damage and persistent muscle and tendon aches, but even so I made a choice and joined the tournament team to prove to myself and the world that I wouldn't let adversity define me.
I often remind myself, "If I'm not getting worse, then this must be a great thing." And indeed it is. Along the way, I have met extraordinary people at KTMA, including my master and his loving family have embraced me, inspiring me to push beyond my limits. I am immensely grateful to everyone who has instilled faith, hope, and encouragement in me. Especially my family, who have stood by my side as my greatest pillars of support and motivation. In particular, my nephew Michael who has been a constant source of inspiration since the very beginning.
So, let me share this message with you: never give up on your dreams and aspirations. Even when they seem impossibly out of reach, remember that miracles can happen. When you have faith, nothing is truly impossible. Believe in yourself, for you are far more capable than you give yourself credit for. Embrace challenges with unwavering determination, always striving to give 110%.
There may be setbacks, there may be doubts, but don't let them deter you. Keep your faith sptronger than your fears. Embrace the motto of "Faith Over Fear" and hold onto it with unwavering conviction. With each step forward, you are defying the odds and proving that resilience knows no bounds.
As I embark on the next chapter of my journey, I hold these moments and medals close to my heart. They are symbols of triumph over adversity, reminding me that there is always more to the story than what meets the eye. Cherish every step, celebrate every achievement, and never forget the power of determination. Your dreams and your goals are waiting for you. So, go out and make them a reality!
Faith Over Fear is the motto, and the ultimate goal... is to never give up.
Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."
Romans 8:28 "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
